First, I had an appointment with my acting coach, Dennis. It was really cool to see him again. We talked for a while; he updated me on some stuff he's up to. He also had a copy of the script for The Dark Knight on the side, which was really cool to thumb through. You can really see where Heath Ledger improvised some of his lines around what was written on the page.
After we caught up, he helped me out with an audition I had later in the day. I'm sure I can tell you the title of this, but I won't reveal anything else. The film is called Tokyo Jones and the Legend of the Dancing Ninja. Yes, I realize the title is ridiculous (and after reading the script, this suspicion is confirmed). Even so, it looks like a really fun project. It's a sequel of sorts to Beverly Hills Ninja, starring Chris Farley. I auditioned for the lead. They said I did a good job with it, but I bet they say that to all the girls.

This was the view I had while I was waiting to be called in for my audition. Whenever I go to an audition in person and I end up having to wait, I always get nervous (as I expect anybody does). I usually find one thing that I can't stop staring at. This image, as a result, gets burned into my head. In this case, I couldn't stop staring at the poster for that film, The Eye (I'm sure that the same casting director working on this film worked on that one. That would explain the poster). Just look at it... that hand crawling out of the bottom eyelid... ugh.

This is the only other picture I took. It's in the same waiting room. The chair is in the way, but you'll notice some stacks of paper on those shelves. Those are all headshots of various actors and actresses whom are being considered for the parts in this film. The biggest stack is off to the left, which is for the lead role (the role I'm auditioning for). Even though it has 50-60 possible choices, I have my fingers crossed.
I hope it's alright that I took these pictures...
That's all I did today. Tomorrow I'll be sitting in on my acting coach's acting class. I'm really excited to meet some other people who are trying to make it like I am.
Getting around in LA is pretty easy, with all things considered. Remember I mentioned that I would be driving around a huge truck? Well, now my manager's brother is driving it, and I'm using his car. I'm definitely relieved, although I feel bad he has to drive that monster around. I'll try and get a picture of the thing and upload it.
That ends this post. More updates as they come.

good luck with you auditions, keep us posted. not to sound creepy but i like keeping up with your blog. it's awesome to see you go from the guy doing re-enactments on youtube to doing auditions and being in movies.
I realize that us crazy fans are supposed to have nothing but good things to say, but I fear that I have to agree with you on that movie. I can't remember even a somewhat decent movie with "...the legend of..." in the title. The Legend of Bagger Vance? Maybe? Anyway, it sounds like it's gonna be a cross between Beverly Hills Ninja (which I love by the way!), and Malibu's Most Wanted, only in Tokyo, and with dancing, very ridiculous dancing.
That being said. I'm incredibly jealous. I wish I could be auditioning for a ridiculous dancing ninja movie.
Also, I love the blog, it's found its way into my daily routine of websites to check. Keep it up.
Hey Brandon,
I'm a film student at the University of Southern California (a freshie) I think you're incredibly talented and really enjoy your re-enactments. "Dogma" espescially. Anyway, since you're in the LA area...would you like to get together and chat over coffee/lunch sometime? I promise I'm not weird and I don't want to get in your pants (so no worry to your girlfriend) I could even get some other people to go if that would make it less awkward. =] You're just someone I think I'd really get along with.

Hi Brandon! Do you mind telling me the name & number/website of your teacher? I couldn't find his info anywhere and I'm shopping for a good coach. I trust that a guy with your talents would have a talented teacher. Thanks!

you are really adorable :)

Hey, Brandon! It's normal to be nervous during your first auditions, but after a while you somewhat toughen up. Auditioning is alotta fun, I do it a lot myself.
You always just gotta remember to do your best :] And try to avoid props if possible...props always screw me up >.< But thats just me ;]
Another tip of advice (if you haven't already realized this) is that Hollywood actually ISN'T full of rejections, because they never actually call you back and tell you "NO YOU CANT HAVE THIS PART". You've just gotta go in, try your hardest, and then just put the audition behind your back, and move on to the next.
That's always helped me, and I sure hope it helps you? I hope I'm not just annoying x)
Well, good luck mah friend, auditions are good fun. I can see you rising up to fame in no time :]
I love secret insider pictures.
Good luck with the part. That's pretty awesome that you got to touch an original Dark Knight script. That alone was probably worth the trip.
dark knight...script...*spaz twitch*
to quote lee: "I wish I could be auditioning for a ridiculous dancing ninja movie."
ps
i do not believe that the poster of the eye is there by accident.
Sure he may have been part of its production/direction, but i bet they put it there to syke out cast hopefuls.
sneaky $#@!&'s !!!!!!11!!one!!
(you may choose the word/phrase. make a drunken dancing ninja proud)
im so happy for you. its fun hearing updates from you because i always get excited when i hear that your audtitioning for movies, i cant wait to get another update from you!
this sounds cheesy but you inspire me!
heehee :DDDD
Please let me know if you would like some recommendations on where to eat while in LA. I've lived in the SF Valley for a year now.
Haha. I can't believe how all these youtube stars get so famous. Really, it's hard work and perseverance that brought them to such a high standard. I'm really glad that people like you get to become so big from what started from a silly video. (Silly faces and noises ;) ) It just shows that if you have talent, there's always somebody watching.
Well, I love all your videos and I remember when you came out with your first video. This was a while back when I was in about the 4th Grade but I laughed my head off from all the silly gestures you made. If you ever get to read this, just know that there's thousands, if not millions, rooting for you and people like you. Great that you can communicate with such a variety of audiences from 4th graders to adults.
I really hope that you become something huge one day, and know that you started from something small. Well good luck and if you can, please email me. :)

Best of luck to you from MI.
