This blog thing seems to be working out. I expected more traffic to come over from Youtube, but in a way, it's not about traffic. I've always wanted to keep a journal of what I do, and now that I'm in the habit, I'll keep it that way. This stuff is bound to be interesting eventually.
Tomorrow morning, I'm boarding a flight to LA and I plan to stay there for four weeks. I'm staying with my manager's brother, who lives north of LA. My manager has some things scheduled for me, so I hear. I hope I get something out of these four weeks... just one really great audition would be enough. If not, I'll still meet people, make connections, and get a feel for what it's like in Hollywood. It's all about experience.
I put my "90-Second Video" up today. I knew people wouldn't like it as much as the other two, but I like it anyway. The real mellow tune behind it just appealed to me when I was making it.
I'm thinking I might upload all of my Jimmy Kimmel Reenactments to my Youtube page. A while back, when I made those, someone had been posting every episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live on their Youtube channel, including those five reenactments. They were up for a while, but were taken down by Youtube for copyright violation. I realize now that I never uploaded them, and I figured since I'll have a dry spot of videos during this LA trip, I could just space those videos out and upload one a week or something. That's not to say I won't have time to make a video in LA... I just don't know how busy I'll be. Always good to have a plan B.
At some point, I'd like to go see Ben ("Boh3m3" on Youtube). I saw him once back in March, but there was kind of a strange situation going on, and we didn't get to hang out too much. Also, this will be a great opportunity to go over the script that we've been talking about. Maybe we could make a video? He hasn't put one up for Youtube in a while. I miss the guy.
That's pretty much it for now. I'll update as I go. I'm not sure how much I'll be able to write about, considering that some auditions I do will probably be for films that are tightly kept under wraps.

Coolness sir! Enjoy LA! BTW, I thought the tune for 'The 90 Second Video' was catchy! Reminded me of something from 'Little Miss Sunshine' which ironically I have the soundtrack to right next to me!
cool, have fun. Add 1 to your visitors log, I subscribe via RSS to your blog so it's like getting an email.
I actually really liked that 90 second video. Too bad some others didn't :\
Have fun in LA
Brandon,
Thanks for the update. I liked your 90-second video the first time through and then found it even better the second time around..that tune sticks in your head! Enjoy LA and good luck in the auditions!
Also thanks for the blog...I actually think you'll see this comment and it won't be lost in the you tube sea!
North of Los Angeles? You're gonna be in my Valley? Or Santa Clarita? Or Gorman? Or the world famous Lebec? That would defeat the purpose of trying to become well known, though, so probably not. I can report that Zuma had some decent waves on Saturday. Angeles Crest mountains have some incredible views of Pasadena and L.A. (if the smog isn't bad). If you're here through Saturday night you can check out the Rocky Horror Picture Show at the Nuart in West Hollywood on Saturday. Acting type people are always stopping in. But definitely check out my San Fernando Valley. We've got, um, well we used to have a GM plant and the city might fund the children's museum someday. We have a lot of malls and suburbanites.
Say, is it weird for you that you have a lot of fans who are older than you? Or does the age thing really not occur to you at all?
admin,
I haven't much considered the age difference in my fans. I know I have a lot of fans all over Youtube who are probably under 16, but I'm always pleased to find that a lot of older people in their 30s, 40s, 50s, and even 60s enjoy my videos.
That's not to say that I don't appreciate the occasional "OMG URE SO AWESOME LULZ!!1" comments... but it's always nice to hear the I'm reaching out to adults.
I think you will have more blog traffic in the future. Blogging is more personal than other types of social networking, and I feel that you are taking advantage of everything blogging has to offer. I feel it as a journal that you publicize instead of keeping to yourself.
I liked the 90 second video. I know how tough garageband can be. Back when I was trying to learn how to play guitar, and thought I was a hotshot, I tried recording myself and making songs on that program. It is tough, but it a hell of a lot of fun just to play around with.
I hope you have a great time in LA.

OMG URE SO AWESOME LULZ!!1
i had to. i really just had to. :-D
btw, the 90-second video was awesome.
the tune was fantastic. I still can't get garage band to work right for me, so props to you man, that was impressive.
Wow, you're so lucky to be travelling like this... even though it's within your home country travel, but still! I live in Canada, and I've NEVER been outside of Ontario for longer than a couple of hours, and I was in a car. Unless you count the time that I was 2 and went to Montreal, but I don't count that because I can't even remember it!
Then again, I am only 16... I suppose I can't expect to travel abroad at such a tender age, but even so, it would be nice to go see the Schwartzwald in Germany or go to Kyoto Japan, mybe London, England or Moscow, Russia... Yes yes, I'm not one of those "Sunny Beaches" vacationers...
Meh, my time shall arrive soon, I suppose. Le sigh... Oh well. Anyways, I hope to see you in a movie someday soon. Don't stop trying, even when the going gets tough. You'll make it soon enough. Ciao.
